Former Sydneysiders Rozanne Bruce and Victor Rijn have scoured the eastern seaboard as far north as Caloundra to find the perfect location for their retirement – with their search leading them to Esperance.
Now they can hardly wait to move into a three-bedroom apartmentthey have selected, with its commanding views of Hope Island and beyond.
They have already started analysing the dimensions of their newresidence and working out where their furniture will fit.
“There’s plenty of time to sort that out, but we are alreadygetting very excited about making the move,’’ said Victor.
“We have friends who told us about Esperance, and we value itscombination of luxury living as well as its lifestyle environment.
“Our apartment will have panoramic views of the waterfront fromthe fifth level, which we are very much looking forward to.
“And the fact that we have friends who have bought here is a bonus– it’s always nice to know a few people before you move in. ‘’
The couple, presently living at Tweed Heads, said they were alsoattracted to the convenience of Esperance’s location.
Rozanne said the proximity to the shops and restaurants of HopeIsland Marketplace was a drawcard.
“We’ve already explored the local shops and enjoyed a coffeethere. We’ve been impressed with the range of retailers and shops, whichinclude the likes of Aldi as well as restaurants, cafes and medical services.
“When we lived in Sydney, we looked at places all the way up thecoast to retire,’’ she said.
“We believe we have found the perfect spot at Esperance and wejust can’t wait for it to happen.’’
